Join us to help support local and regional authors. This month we have a mother and two daughters, who appear to be following in their mother's footsteps:

Lydia Caatt will be introducing the first two books in her "Fight for Danyon" YA fantasy series--Morning Diamond and Sunset Rubies.

Lydia grew up in a loving, but dysfunctional large family in a typical small town in the Northwest. During her childhood, storytelling helped her escape a sometimes harsh life, but her first husband forbade her from telling their children stories. After years of abuse, she was able to escape and rediscover her love for storytelling and her new husband adored the tales. Several years ago, when told she would have to undergo brain surgery, she began writing Morning Diamond for her young children and also as a way of coping with the upcoming surgery. She is currently at work on the third book in the series, Midnight Pearl, with several others to follow.

Her daughters, Belle Mae and CeCe Kristine will be sharing a children's book they wrote and illustrated together--Just Have Faith.

Belle won her first writing contest in the third grade and she wrote this story, centered on children and faith, at the age of 15, asking Cece, a few years younger, to illustrate it. CeCe won an art contest in the 5th grade with a poster she drew about her twin that did not survive to birth. It depicted the story of her living her life with her twin living beside her as an angel. She looks forward to expanding her artistic gifts.
